Every Grain of Sand- Bob Dylan

Hope you don't find if I just interject here, "Times They Are A-Changin'" is one of my favorite songs of all time. I'll just shut up now because I don't know nearly as much about him as you do. I'll also be sure to check some of your posts

Yeah I need to get more of his stuff. I know most of his hits, which are all pretty diverse, but I think there's plenty of great stuff I missing out on.

this song here is from his brand new album and it's seriously already among my favorites. i think i listened to it like 5 times today. there's other good songs on his new album but this one stands alone and can officially be considered classic dylan

I Feel a Change Comin' On

i can't even begin to describe how timeless this one is. from "blood on the tracks"

this tune is just plain old fun. and yes all these songs i post were written by dylan if you remember the song from another band, they covered it

this next song is interesting because most people think it's a grateful dead tune because they adopted it and played it many times in their live sets. dylan proves he can sing the blues

It Hurts Me, Too

this song is one of the literally dozens of classic dylan songs that never even made it on an official studio album. wonderfully heartfelt

I'll Keep it With Mine

another non album track and all i can say about it is, where the what the? A SONG THIS GREAT AND NOT BEING GOOD ENOUGH TO Make it on a proper dylan album? this would be the best song of 14000 other folk singer's career

Abandoned Love

here's a funny song from 1964's "Another Side of Bob Dylan"

it's just a classic story song. even haters would like this song

Motorpsycho Nitemare


if you think about it, the whole reason for this goofy long story is just to back up the very last line of the song, "without freedom of speech, i might be in the swamp"

i might be the only dylan fan on earth that places this cutesy love waltz as a favorite, but for some reason it always just makes me smile

clapton doesn't have any similarities at all with dylan so i don't know where you are coming from with this one. i do like at least 20 songs that clapton has been involved with, though. i've pretty much heard all his material and there's no doubt he's a huge talent. just not really among my favorites

in the late 70's early 80's bob (born jewish) converted to christianity and released 3 christian albums. this is from the first "slow train coming" (1979). amazingly emotional.

i believe in you

even on lesser albums such as 1989's "oh mercy" bob was always able to include a couple absolutely amazing songs. this one definately qualifies.

and this one is another miracle on a lesser album. uplifting and sorrowful. from 1988's "Down in the Groove"

in my opinion, his cracked and battle weary vocals only adds to the emotional value

in the mid 70's bob had yet another phase where he spoke spanish and wore corpse paint

this right here is my best friend's dad's favorite song and he's the one who first introduced me to dylan over 20 years ago. so it's long been a favorite

romance in durango

just thought i'd add the studio version of romance in durango from "Desire" 1973

at the peak of bob's christian phase, he released a full blown bat s*** crazy gospel album ""saved", 1980 with black baptist backing vocals and the whole deal
